Hey friends. My last book haul post was in March. A whole lot has changed since then and way more books have been added to my shelf. I’m going to be sharing the new books on my shelf. If you’ve read any, please let me know if you enjoyed it or if I’ve just basically wasted my money. (To be fair, some of these books were gifts)
So, I’m going to start right from the last book haul.
Update – I read three of the books in this stack and I really enjoyed them (Love in colour by Bolu Babalola, Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell and Aftershocks by Nadia Owusu) – My review of the latter was posted on the blog two months ago. You can read it here.
I DNF’d two of the books on this list. Hold by Michael Donkor & The book of echoes by Rosanna Amaka. They just weren’t doing it for me tbh. I also wasn’t in the mood to waste my time.
I haven’t started any of the above books but I’m hoping to get into ‘Before I go to sleep’ soon. The reviews definitely got me interested.
I already started In the palace of flowers by Victoria Princewill and I’m buddy reading it with a fellow bookstagrammer, Aisha. It’s looking intriguing so far. I have high hopes.
I finished The son of the house by Cheluchi Onuobia and I really enjoyed it. She is a fantastic writer. I loved the simplicity and how likeable her characters were.
This month has been a tough month for me physically and I’ve decided to read light after finishing my current reads. I have high hopes for these!
There you have it! The latest books on my shelf! Have you read any of these books?
