It’s the last month of the year and I’ve probably said this five hundred times but ‘I CANNOT BELIEVE 2021 IS ABOUT TO BE OVER’! December is usually not my favorite month because my anxiety is at an all-time high but I’m hoping this year will be different. I’m back again with my anticipated December 2021 releases.
Here are my Anticipated December 2021 Releases.
Tell Me How to Be by Neel Patel
Expected publication: December 7th 2021 by Flatiron Books. Genre: Fiction.
” Renu Amin always seemed perfect: doting husband, beautiful house, healthy sons. But as the one-year anniversary of her husband’s death approaches, Renu is binge-watching soap operas and simmering with old resentments. She can’t stop wondering if, thirty-five years ago, she chose the wrong life. In Los Angeles, her son, Akash, has everything he ever wanted, but as he tries to kickstart his songwriting career and commit to his boyfriend, he is haunted by the painful memories he fled a decade ago. When his mother tells him she is selling the family home, Akash returns to Illinois, hoping to finally say goodbye and move on.
Together, Renu and Akash pack up the house, retreating further into the secrets that stand between them. Renu sends an innocent Facebook message to the man she almost married, sparking an emotional affair that calls into question everything she thought she knew about herself. Akash slips back into bad habits as he confronts his darkest secrets―including what really happened between him and the first boy who broke his heart. When their pasts catch up to them, Renu and Akash must decide between the lives they left behind and the ones they’ve since created, between making each other happy and setting themselves free.”
The Women I Love: A Novel by Francesco Pacifico, Elizabeth Harris
Expected publication: December 7th 2021 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Genre: Fiction
” Marcello, an editor and poet, is on the brink of his forties. Like everyone in his life, including his sister-in-law, he’s writing a novel. This novel. This novel will be about women. Love. Growing older. Maybe even taking responsibility. But unfortunately for Marcello, the women in his life resist definition. They flit and flicker constantly between archetype and actuality: sirens and saviors, subordinates and savants, vixens and villains.
So Marcello cannot write plainly about love. Instead, he tries to write into the complexities of his many relationships: Eleonora, the junior editor, his former protege and sometime lover; Barbara, his claustrophobic girlfriend; his estranged gay sister; his elegant mother.
Fresh, frank, and painfully cool, Francesco Pacifico’s The Women I Love dives nakedly into gender, sex, and power. Set in a vivid and alcoholic Italy, it acknowledges and subverts the narrow ways canonical male writers gaze at, and somehow fail to see, women–illuminating the possibility of equity between people in love, in bed, in work, and in life.”
The one night by Meghan Quinn
Expected publication: December 14th 2021 by Montlake. Genre: Romance
Recently divorced Cooper Chance knows he’s officially in a rut when his parents take him barhopping in the hope of resuscitating his love life. At first, he’s skeptical. How could a gritty dive bar possibly solve his problems? But then he runs into Nora McHale.
Nora isn’t at the bar looking for love. She’s there to unwind after yet another exhausting day at her bakery. And even if she were hoping to meet someone, it sure wouldn’t be Cooper—her best friend’s ex-husband.
According to the unwritten rules of romance, Cooper and Nora are completely off limits to each other. But after a fun, flirty night at the bar, they can’t ignore the wild attraction between them.
Is this the beginning of something real, or will their passionate night together be their one and only?

It’s a short list because a lot of the books being released this month are books I’m really not interested in. I didn’t want to fill up the list with books I know I won’t be reading. Anyway, I hope you don’t get anxious like me and actually enjoy the last month of the year.
